Thank you for these fascinating posts which have been the catalyst for a visit today to Cicerone Press (only abut three miles from where I live), where I bought a 1992 copy of The Relative Hills of Britain at much reduced price.
Cicerone do free updates on their website for many of their guides, and this one qualifies, so I will be able to make amendments if I want. There is no way I am going to do the 1556, or whatever the number is of all the Marilyns, but I would like to try and see how many of them I have already done. After that the guide should provide a framework for visiting unfamiliar locations in the future.
What do you mean M2 had long gone? Did he get the train back.
Its nice to read a blog about walking rather than gear lists.
