My dialogue with RR is hopefully entertaining, even if I do need to watch my stances (or should that be stanzas?).

Gibson - it's a pleasure, good luck!

Gayle - luckily we have no local chicken farms, according to my nostrils. The balsam will soon give way to some autumn colours, if I can draw myself away from the thousands of photos that need 'processing'. For 'processing' you could read 'mostly deleting'.Phreerunnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08551842487502221703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-670908392024479748.post-81683839995713560232018-09-22T11:38:55.337+01:002018-09-22T11:38:55.337+01:00"...the sweet smell of Himalayan Balsam mingl..."...the sweet smell of Himalayan Balsam mingled with the less attractive aroma of horse droppings..."

Personally, I reckon I prefer the latter to the former, particularly when the Himalayan Balsam is present in quantity. The section of canal along which I pass regularly has quite a bit of balsam at one point, and a bit further north runs close to some chicken barns. Even with my dislike of the intense sickly smell of the balsam, I'll take that any day over the aroma of chicken manure (insert gagging emoji here).

Gaylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08648378503343413924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-670908392024479748.post-70714618865183340142018-09-22T11:33:52.658+01:002018-09-22T11:33:52.658+01:00I have now discovered that if I use my 'afooti...I have now discovered that if I use my 'afootinthehills' email address to post, the resize image page appears. Maybe it's a bit boring in places, I suspect following old railway lines etc.

At least you are keeping us up to date - as my last post mentioned I lapsed for seventeen days and started receiving worried enquiries from regular readers. I reckon your future activities may need to allow sizeable chunks of time to continue your correspondence with my brother RR. Beware! He can be provoking.Sir Hughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17908756392825206914noreply@blogger.com
