Hi - just discovered your site - glad you enjoyed the GTA (probably the best alpine experience I've ever had). You're clearly in good hands with Kev's guide though Cicerone published my 2nd ed Gran Paradiso guide last yr. Happy walking and keep writing! Gillian Price
Hi - Gillian again - just realised that we only missed each other by a couple of days at Hotel Turismo (Terme di Valdieri) in July. I had such fantastic memories of the Maritime Alps that I just had to go back and am working on a new guide. I met 2 other Brits there doing the GTA - and who 'complained' they hadn't met any other walkers let alone Brits on the route! I really enjoyed reading your comments/experiences on the other establishments! Esp the goats - thanks for the names. Ciao!
