I haven't seen the mandarin for a few days, Alan - I suspect it has migrated to the mudfest part of the towpath that I by-pass in damp conditions. The drizzle is easing so I'm just off out. It's the Sandstone Trail area in tomorrow's sunny periods...
Sunshine and showers this afternoon, and a sighting of the mandarin duck seeking love and affection in a blind date at Sale's New Year party hosted by Maggie Mallard.
I’ve been out walking this morning and it is torrential rain, grey and sunless.
