The Lake District revisited – 4 and 5 May 2013

050433CragHill3

Since this May weekend in the Lakes, our summer programme and subsequent indexing of 3000 Pyrenean photos has meant that the images from this Lakeland trip remained untouched until this weekend.

My brief reports, using the then brand new Samsung S3 ‘phone (which I still haven’t learnt how to use to its full advantage) are here and here.

They were indeed very brief reports. Feel free to add your comments. For the record, the five Birketts climbed on 5 May were Mellbreak (North and South tops), Scale Knott, Hen Comb and Little Dodd.

A slideshow (70 images) has now been uploaded here (click on ‘slideshow’ – top left), with a taster below.

  1. Martin, if those photo's were taken with the S3 then why take a camera as well. They are great. Just a couple of spare batteries, that's all you need.

  2. No Alan, these photos were taken with my G12, and maybe some of them were with Sue's G15 if she had it with her. The earlier blog images posted at the time were S3 images, reduced to 10%. The S3 doesn't have the features of the G12 and G15, so certainly won't replace them. Having said that, some of the images we'll use in our Pyrenees slideshow will be full size ones taken with the S3.

  4. Hmmm, I noticed some strange comments on some of the pictures.
    I don't twitter, I'm afraid.

Thank you very much for allowing myself to tag along with you on your walk abouts. :-)

  7. Thanks Gibson
It was a pleasure to revisit these photos, which are probably a mixture of mine and Sue's.
