The Toulouse Marathon - I finished!
Very quickly, as I've just nipped back to the hotel for a shower before heading off to Laurence's mother's house:
We both finished. My time was about 4 hours 32 minutes. Success, and only painful for a relatively short period (I hit a wall at 35 kilometres).
Well done, excellent effort! By the way thanks for inviting me to share with Conrad on your next gathering, but as you know I'll be away traversing Tenerife on the GR131. Some other time maybe. John.
I can visualise the clapping, Alan, and it's a shame not to be meeting you in Leyburn, John, but I feel sure we will encounter each other soon. Enjoy GR131.
