Very quickly, as I've just nipped back to the hotel for a shower before heading off to Laurence's mother's house:
We both finished. My time was about 4 hours 32 minutes. Success, and only painful for a relatively short period (I hit a wall at 35 kilometres).
Congratulations Martin. Excellent time!
ReplyDeleteWell done! I had no doubt you would complete within the cut-off time, but 4.5 hours, without training, is impressive.
ReplyDeleteWell done, excellent effort!
ReplyDeleteBy the way thanks for inviting me to share with Conrad on your next gathering, but as you know I'll be away traversing Tenerife on the GR131.
Some other time maybe.
John.
You can't hear it Martin but we are clapping. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, much appreciated. All I can say at present is "conditions were good, but it wasn't easy".
ReplyDeleteWell done Martin - I've just caught up with all this - been away with the caravan for granddaughter's birthday.
ReplyDeleteYes, well done Martin. Never doubted you.
ReplyDeleteWell done Martin, proud on yer. When's the next one?
ReplyDeleteHaha, I've not thought about another one Gordon, though I would be up for it...
ReplyDeleteI can visualise the clapping, Alan, and it's a shame not to be meeting you in Leyburn, John, but I feel sure we will encounter each other soon. Enjoy GR131.
