Friday = Isabella Day (52)

We enjoyed another lovely day with Isabella, starting with a visit to Antz in your Pantz, a short walk from our Timperley home. Apart from the following pictures, there was quite a bit of jumping on the trampoline - low light levels rendered all my efforts to record that too blurry.

Then we went home for lunch.

Before lunch she had made some biscuits, and it was a great treat to be allowed to eat one of them. We established that Isabella likes raisins.

When the time came to leave for the park, we had the usual big tease regarding the seating arrangements.

The kids at the park farm took a fancy to Isabella's strawberries!

We soon adjourned to the playground - quiet this afternoon after earlier rain.

By mistake, I took what must be 'an Isabella view'. Scary!

She gets a bit braver on every visit.

Back at home, Isabella donned her tiara and proudly showed me her room. She has a proper bedsit, with its own kitchen.

The room is occupied by some 'old friends'. The chair on the left was one of two (the other is in Mike and Sarah's lounge) bought for John and Dot (Isabella's great grandparents) in 1951 when they moved to Wolverhampton. Another note indicates they may have been bought in Rugeley in 1949.
The chest of drawers on the right was in my bedroom when we lived in Guisborough (1963-74). Dot has known this all her life - it was made before 1925 in Dot's father's joiners shop (he was a builder), for Dot and her sister Margaret. It's a lovely piece of furniture.

It was really Rosy the rabbit that showed me round.

Here are a couple of short videos taken at the play centre.
