The main purpose of this blog is to keep in touch with friends and family, and maybe entertain others with common interests, particularly in relation to the outdoors. We hope you enjoy it, and your comments are valued....
So it does look as if you made it before the rain!? What time did you arrive? When I arose at 4:45am your tent had gone. At several points on my way to the cost I noticed tracks - grass bent and twigs snapped. Did you find the strange river bridge behind Fetteresso castle? and the very useful railway bridge? (footsteps around former, but none that I saw at the latter)? Paul
Yes Paul, I actually got my tent up in Montrose before the rain, which started whilst I was downing a burger and chips at the Park. I took the road around Fetteresso Castle as I wasn't sure about access through the castle grounds. I'd be pleased to get an email describing your own route - mine also used some forest tracks not marked on my old map. PS I started at 4.15 and got to Dunnottar at about 8.50. Dry!
