Friday 29 October 2021 - de Quincey Park

Here's today's view in De Quincey Park, on a sunny '(not)parkrun' walk. Whilst the Lake District is flooded, and the OMM event has been abandoned, we've had hardly any rain in Manchester!

I'm now taking a weekend break from blogging as we'll be somewhere that I don't think will have wifi or a phone signal, or the opportunity to spend time blogging.

I've heard it all now! A Mancunian complain that it's not raining...

1. The mystery isn't really a mystery, Conrad, it's just that I felt the wilds of County Durham wouldn't be (and weren't) conducive to blogging. And there's been a further delay in posting due me prioritising grandparenting duties.
2. I'm not a Mancunian, though we currently live in a part of Cheshire that is also in Greater Manchester.
3. I'm puzzled about the complaint about it not raining comment. I have made no such complaint, simply noting that whilst the Lake District (and Preston) was subjected to monsoon conditions, there was no rain in our part of Cheshire or the Peak District.
