I suppose it had to happen - after two and a half years of dodging the Covid virus, I tested positive on 30 July 2022. I've no idea where I picked it up - I've gone back to a 'normal' life apart from using a mask in indoor spaces.
Headache, cough, lethargy, for about 36 hours. Now feeling better, but unhappy about some awkward logistics arising from me having to self-isolate for a while.
2 August update:
Day 3: Symptoms have diminished in inverse proportion to the thickness of the Covid +ve line. Now just feeling weary...

My commiserations. Fortunately it sounds not too serious and I hope you continue to make a full recovery.
Thanks Conrad. I'm lucky - nothing serious, just rather inconvenient - but I do still feel a bit wiped out.
Touché
Sorry to hear about that Martin, hopefully you will recover quickly, but take it easy. Following my rather severe encounter with the bug recently I've ended up with hospital investigations.
Thanks BC. Now on Day 3, with a very strong positive test, but symptoms now just a bit of lethargy and a runny nose. Looks like I've been much luckier than you. I hope the investigations don't reveal anything serious.
Glad you are improving. As we all knew it is a very strange virus.
