Apple Blossom

2301apple

A visit to mother the other day saw her commenting on a recent trip to the Cotswolds to see the spring blossoms.

They had disappointed her.  "The blossom in my own garden is much better" she commented.

Here's her apple tree, which interestingly appears to have glued itself to next door's garage!

Whilst there, I set up a Google ID for her on her ancient dial-up equipment, so she now has the capacity to make comments, if that's not too challenging for you, Dot!

Meanwhile, welcome to another 'follower', Mac E.  Now that 'following' lark really may be a bit too technical for Dot, who can at least navigate to these pages through her 'favourites'.

That's probably it until next week - we will have this weekend's trip to report on then - but any intervening missives will be very short, on grounds of trying to be sociable, and there's likely to be no 'phone signal anyway.

Apple trees in bloom always make me think of my mother. There was always one day in spring when I'd come home from school to find the little orchard in our yard abloom, with mom scratching around to get her flowers or veggies in order.

This is a real beauty.

Yes, I can comment! The blossom is almost over and I am waiting for some apples to appear. I hope for a good crop. We are off to Wales at the weekend. Will catch up with your TGO when we return.
Have some good walks.
