Autumn Colours
I haven’t seen too much of the autumn colours this year, but these golden beech leaves overhanging the Leeds & Liverpool Canal couldn’t fail to catch my eye today.
It seems that I arrived in Scotland about a week after the best of the autumn display up there, and arrived home about a week after the best display down here! I did, however, notice that the remaining leaves on the beeches (not beaches as I first typed!) on Cannock Chase were looking fine today.
Just a case of being in the right place at the right time in the right weather, I suppose. Not as easy as it sounds! Obviously some photo composition skills would also be helpful, but at least the above snapshot tries to convey the 'bright golden' nature of that particular bit of foliage.
Hopefully there may be some good 'Jack Frost' opportunities in the weeks to come.
