Here are Richard and Jenny and Sue at the start of a regular Friday morning walk, which started along the Bridgewater Canal from the London Bridge pub. Sue and I walked this route last December (report here) and on previous occasions, so as I have a backlog of postings, I'll make this one brief, comprising mainly annotations to the pictures taken in the drizzle that accompanied us all morning. (Not rainy enough for me to don waterproofs, but the others made up for that.)
Richard was most concerned about the body he spotted in the canal, but it turned out to be 'armless.

In the other direction, the steps where passengers would embark on the barge to Manchester
before the days of the railways - now in the garden of the London Bridge pub
Here's the 10km route. It took us 2.5 hours on this occasion. We kept moving in the drizzle.
It's a lovely route, close to home. Click on any image for a better view and access to a slideshow.
Next Friday walk - Friday 2 June:
Y Garn and the Glyders. 13km on the route described here.
Meet at 10am at the Ogwen Cottage Visitor Centre.
