On a rainy morning, Sue and I took the car to the park, leaving our bikes in the shed for once. After a record attendance of 462 last week, just 266 people turned up for this wet one.
After chatting to a few regulars who we'd not seen for a while, we gravitated to the start, where Alan performed his Run Dirctor duties with minimal fuss.
I set off near the back, as is now usual, and took a few photos before stashing my camera (phone) in a pocket protected by anorak and overtrousers. Also wearing waterproof shoes and socks, I remained dry throughout. If slow.
Later, in the tearoom, sorting the barcode tokens was quite a long job as all 266 needed to be dried. Sue was good at that job.
