The main purpose of this blog is to keep in touch with friends and family, and maybe entertain others with common interests, particularly in relation to the outdoors. We hope you enjoy it, and your comments are valued....
it must have been a rare moment. You look relaxed, dry, there's no wind or rain. No wind shield needed, no waterproof drying. Was that really TGO 2011.
It was a lovely day. Just a bit short, due to a FWA the previous day that 'disabled' Day 5's high level route.
But it was a pleasure to arrive early at Bridge of Gaur Guest House and enjoy the hospitality of Eddie and Heather, and the company of some seasoned Challengers.
Your knacked from a long climb or mornings walk. A brew is just magic. I dont recall moments on the hill like that this year. Still nice when it happens.
You've had other thrills to enjoy, Martin. I hope you are managing to get some sleep and that the baby is doing well. My 'brew moments' this year were mainly with 'Poor Michael', and there were quite a number of them. Unfortunately Sue and I didn't take a stove to the Alps, so we had to rely on 'Beer Moments'. That was a real hardship!

Now that's what makes walking worthwhile - stopping ;-)
