An easy drive home, to tropical heat in Timperley. This morning’s trip down the Bridgewater Canal revealed herons at two mile intervals, all intent on breakfasting and not in the least bothered by people on the towpath.

Thanks 'Old Runner'. I must make more effort to get out earlier. Have you learnt how to identify the dawn chorus on your own early morning missions?
I can identify most common birdsongs Martin, but I struggle to remember some of the migratory ones I haven't heard for a while.
