Sunday 20 October 2002 - A Walk from Alstonefield

Like yesterday's posting, this will be of only passing interest, even to those present.

Today's rediscovery of early digital images reveals four pictures from 20 October 2002, recorded in my diary as:

'Dovedale walk with Sue, Andrew, Sue and Phil, GS, Dave A, G&T. 11-5 - Alstonefield/Manifold/Dovedale'.

Well, that was concise. G&T were not married at this point - in fact, Sue and I had only recently exchanged vows.

The first two pictures must have been taken between Alstonefield and the Manifold Valley.

Then we all explored Thor's Cave, which looks as if it wasn't quite as muddy as on our recent visit on 7 March in the heady days when we were allowed out.

Our lunch spot was probably further along the Manifold Valley, perhaps near Rushley.

We WILL meet again -  to quote Andrew from his weekly missive...

I thought your blog had been very quiet (as in 'absent') of late, then suddenly two weeks worth of posts all hit my RSS feed yesterday. No idea what happened there. I'm about half way through catching up so far.

That's interesting. My visitor stats have been very low recently so you may not be the only one to miss my daily postings. I do try to upload something every day, simply for Dot's benefit.

You'll have caught up very quickly - there's nothing of any great substance going up at the moment, but a few memories for people to chuckle about.

I wonder if it was caused by my changing the settings to get rid of the 'Not secure' message to the left of the web address at the head of the blog. My blog now shows a lock icon instead of that message, which was starting to annoy me...

Anyway, I'm enjoying your random witterings, so keep them up!
